How to rent a car in Chisinau?

  • Be ready for a tricky experience.

  • Example: the final price will always arrive to be higher or even "doubled" from advertised cost when you got in the "rent a car" office. 

  • Just tell to the reception that you prefer unlimited mileages then ask for full CASCO insurance or ask if your wife / husband or other person can drive on rented car as second driver and be sure the final price will be multiplied by two.

  • The CASCO insurance does not cover damage of windows, windshields and wheels of the rented car. 

  • Do not forget on the cost of the car delivery and on the extra cost of washing the car at the end of your journey. (it is applied mostly by local rent a car companies)

  • Before signing the rental agreement, film and take pictures of the car's defects. (with the record of the filming time)
